Recording a Track for Virtual Choir
Remember…
- Be sure to rehearse as much as you need by singing along with the track before recording.
- At the end of each of your takes, leave a few seconds of pleasant silence, to help the editing process. This would extend beyond any piano ‘outro.’
- Please save your recording as an .mp3 or .wav file, and to name it with the TITLE, VOICE PART and YOUR NAME (ie – Mira Tenor Brandon Leis).
- Once you’ve finished your recording, re-listen to it before uploading to make sure there weren’t too many wrong notes, extraneous sounds, or cats walking across the screen. Don’t be too critical with your own sound!!!
- A wired or strong connection, in combination with a low-traffic time of day will shorten the time it takes to upload your files.
