Thank you to all of you who braved the chilly weather and came out to our first concert of the 2018-19 season entitled, Inspiration.

The choir was especially stunning in its renditions of Wesley’s, Ascribe Unto the Lord, Harris’ Bring us O Lord and Britten’s Hymn to St. Cecilia. Our featured piano soloist, and last year’s recipient of the Abner Martin Music Scholarship, Emily Rempel stunned the audience with her sensitive touch and powerful, virtuosic, playing. In the first half Emily performed pieces by Shostakovich, Sophie-Carmen Eckhardt-Gramatté  and Isaac Albéniz. In the second half she and our Artistic Director, Brandon Leis, added to the variety of the evening by performing three captivating English Art songs by Ivor Gurney, Ralph Vaughn Williams and Roger Quilter.

A magical event!

  1. Thanks for posting the photo! So nice to see when unable to attend in person : ) Congrats to everyone on this interesting programme, and to Emily, an Abner Martin Scholarship winner.
